I first heard about Ben through a former support client of mine. They shared the same exercise physiologist and through that connection I kept hearing about this incredibly talented kid living with cerebral palsy, based right here in Cairns, who was quietly making waves on the world stage in wheelchair tennis. From those early conversations, I knew I had to meet him.
What stood out straight away was Ben’s mindset. In elite sport momentum is everything and for Ben the philosophy is simple, focus forward. It is a way of thinking that has taken him to a career-high world junior ranking of number four and a Grand Slam title at the 2024 US Open.
As Ben transitions into the quad circuit and sets his sights on the 2032 Brisbane Paralympics, he is stepping into a new chapter. I am proud to share that Ben is now partnering with KinKera Community.

Ben refuses to let obstacles define his path and at KinKera our work is centred on removing barriers so people can live with choice, independence and dignity.
For us this was never about ticking a sponsorship box. We are focused on supporting community wherever we can and with many of our team living and working here in Cairns, it made sense to support someone with such a strong local connection. Backing Ben felt natural.
At its core this partnership is about shared values. Ben refuses to let obstacles define his path and at KinKera our work is centred on removing barriers so people can live with choice, independence and dignity. We believe that strong communities and the right environment matter.

For an athlete like Ben preparation does not stop when training ends. Success on the court is built on having stability and support off the court. Our mission to build better homes in thriving communities aligns closely with Ben’s drive to perform at the highest level. Just as he fine-tunes every part of his game, we design homes around the individual, putting control and independence first.
Focus forward is more than a phrase. It reflects how we approach our work. Whether it is a young athlete chasing Grand Slam success or someone looking for a place to truly call home, the goal is the same. Having the right support to live life on your own terms.
With KinKera Community backing his journey, Ben can put his full focus where it belongs, on training, competing and continuing to raise the bar for wheelchair tennis in Australia. He represents what is possible when talent meets discipline and when the right support sits behind it.
The road to 2032 will demand consistency, sacrifice and belief. Ben has already shown he has all three. We are proud to be part of his journey and even prouder to support someone who is setting the standard for what comes next.
