Ian Jordan Profile

Ian Jordan

Director / Founder

As Director and Founder of KinKera, I lead our mission to deliver high-quality Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) and disability housing across Australia. I come from a property and finance background and have worked full-time in the disability sector for the past five years. Prior to KinKera, I served as Chair of a Community Housing Provider that grew tenfold over three years, giving me deep insight into how housing intersects with community, governance and long-term outcomes for NDIS participants. Earlier in my career I served in the Navy, an experience that shaped my approach to leadership, accountability and teamwork.

My focus at KinKera is on building strong foundations that support people and communities well into the future. I care deeply about creating systems and structures that allow good people to do great work, and about ensuring SDA housing delivers more than shelter — supporting genuine connection and belonging for people with disability.

What do you enjoy most about your role at KinKera?
The KinKera team. They are thoughtful, capable and committed, and they consistently find ways to work through challenges together.

What matters most to you when supporting participants and communities?
People. Homes are important, but relationships, trust and shared purpose are what truly create community.

What is something that always makes you smile?
My daughters.
